Full-Stack Developer (Django + Angular) – Application Revamp Project
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
We are looking for an experienced full-stack developer (Django + Angular) to revamp an existing custom-built application, focusing on enhancing performance, refining UI/UX, and ensuring legal distinction from similar proprietary software. While the core functionality will remain intact, your role is to modernize, optimize, and differentiate the system in both its frontend and backend aspects.
Project Objectives:
Frontend Revamp (Angular):
Redesign UI/UX to improve user experience and visual identity
Reorganize field placements, component structure, and user flows
Update design aesthetics: colors, typography, spacing
(Optional) Integrate a modern UI library (e.g., Tailwind CSS or Material UI)
Backend Optimization (Django):
Refactor workflows and business logic for clarity and uniqueness
Rename key services, views, and classes to establish originality
Improve performance through query and indexing optimization
Database Enhancements:
Review and optimize schema design (relationships, constraints, normalization)
Implement improved indexes and customized migrations
API & Security Improvements:
Revise and rename API endpoints for clarity and structure
(Optional) Implement modern auth mechanisms (OAuth2, refresh-token-based auth)
Add custom logging and robust error-handling practices
Documentation & Quality Tracking:
Maintain a changelog of all enhancements and visual changes
Document performance improvements and structural updates
POC Enhancements
This revamped application will be used as a proof of concept (POC), so the ability to add visually appealing dashboard elements and interactive features will be appreciated.
Deliverables
Fully revamped Django + Angular codebase
Updated database schema and migration files
Clear documentation of changes and system improvements
Support for deployment and testing
Ideal Candidate
Solid experience with Django, REST APIs, and PostgreSQL
Strong Angular expertise with a good sense for UI/UX
Familiarity with scalable and legally-safe application structuring
Ability to contribute ideas for technical and design improvements

Target completion: ~2 weeks (negotiable based on scope)
