Project Title: Full-Stack Developer Needed: Build a Multi-Vendor "Farm-to-Table" E-commerce Platform - Khayrate Bladi

. Project Overview & Summary
We are launching "Khayrate Bladi" (meaning "My Country's Bounty"), a mission-driven e-commerce marketplace aiming to directly connect farmers with consumers (Farm-to-Table) across Algeria. Our primary goal is to build a stable, user-friendly application primarily in Arabic, which solves the challenge of multiple intermediaries and ensures fresher produce for consumers and better profits for farmers.
We are seeking a developer with strong experience in building complex e-commerce projects with multiple user roles, and crucially, the ability to work with and customize an existing Open Source codebase found on GitHub.
2. Scope of Work & Required Features
The application must support three distinct and essential user roles:
A. The Farmer (Seller):
The farmer requires a comprehensive dashboard to manage their virtual store. Key features include Product Management (adding, editing, and deleting products and images), Order Management to update order statuses (e.g., Confirmed, Preparing, Cancelled), Instant Chat functionality for direct communication with buyers, and settings for their farm's geographical location.
B. The Buyer (Customer):
The buyer needs a seamless interface for interacting with the marketplace. Core features include effective Product Browsing and Search (filtering by location and category), a standard Shopping Cart and simple Checkout process, a robust Ratings and Review System for products and farmers, and a Bidding feature for certain harvest items or crops.
C. The Transporter (Delivery Agent):
The transporter must be able to register as an independent delivery service. Required features include receiving Notifications for nearby delivery requests originating from farmers, and a simple Order Tracking System to manage accepted deliveries.
Important Payment Note: The application must strictly implement "Cash On Delivery" (COD) as the sole payment method. We emphasize that the platform will NOT integrate or handle any electronic payment gateways in this initial phase.
3. Technical Requirements and Required Experience
We are looking for a developer specialized in Full-Stack Development with strong expertise in the following technologies:
Frontend (Client-side): React or Next.js.
Backend (Server-side): Node.js (Express) or Python (Django).
Database: Preference for PostgreSQL or MongoDB.
Specific Required Experience:
The developer must have a proven track record in building E-commerce applications and demonstrate the ability to effectively customize and work on an existing Open Source codebase (GitHub). Furthermore, expertise in designing responsive user interfaces that fully support the Arabic (RTL) layout is mandatory.
4. Deliverables
The scope of work includes: Application Deployment onto our chosen production server (e.g., Vercel, AWS, or DigitalOcean), and the delivery of a clean, fully documented codebase with proper database migration capabilities.
