We are looking for a performance optimization specialist to improve a web application developed in Django with a MySQL database. At times, the application becomes extremely slow, but interestingly, the resource usage on the machine where it’s hosted is very low (less than 2% of the CPU and only 3% of RAM).
Main Issues:
• Inconsistent slowness in the application.
• Extremely low resource usage on the server despite the slowness.
• The application is hosted on a dedicated server with sufficient capacity.
Specialist Requirements:
• Experience in optimizing Django applications.
• Advanced knowledge of MySQL and query optimization.
• Experience in server management and performance monitoring.
• Ability to identify and resolve bottlenecks in database usage, application code, or server configuration.
Deliverables:
1. Detailed diagnosis of the cause of the slowness.
2. Implementation of improvements in the application’s performance (code optimization, SQL query optimization, server configuration, etc.).
3. Report with recommendations for future optimizations.
