Hotel Booking Platform Build
Budget: $10,000 – $20,000 USD
I’m ready to commission a full-stack web application that lets travelers search, compare, and book hotels much like they would on Expedia or Hotels.com, but focused solely on hotel inventory. The core flow I need is straightforward: guests browse properties, check real-time availability, choose a room, and complete payment in as few clicks as possible.
Scope of work
• Hotel booking engine – search (location, dates, guests), filter and sort results, detailed room pages with photos, amenities, price breakdown, and an availability calendar that locks inventory once the user reaches checkout.
• Secure checkout – PCI-compliant card processing, promo codes, and email confirmations with itinerary details.
• User roles –
– Guest users may browse freely and complete a booking without creating an account.
– Registered users get a dashboard to view, modify, or cancel reservations and save favorite properties.
– Admin users can add or edit hotel listings, set rates and allotments, view bookings, and issue refunds from a dedicated panel.
• Property management back office – bulk upload tool (CSV or API), image manager, blackout-date controls, tax/fee configuration, and reporting (occupancy, revenue, cancellations).
• Mobile-first responsive UI built with a modern framework (React, Vue, or similar) and a REST/GraphQL backend (Node, Django, Laravel—open to your recommendation).
• Third-party integrations – open to whichever live-inventory or payment gateways you’ve worked with before; please outline which you’d propose so we avoid reinventing the wheel.
Acceptance criteria
1. A user can complete a booking from search to confirmation in under 2 minutes on both desktop and mobile.
2. Inventory is held for 15 minutes once the guest enters checkout and auto-releases if payment fails.
3. Admin edits to pricing or allotment are reflected on the front end within 60 seconds.
4. All critical flows achieve 95 %+ Lighthouse performance and accessibility scores.
Please include in your bid:
• Tech stack you’d choose and why.
• Timeline with milestone breakdown (MVP, QA, launch).
• Examples of past hotel or e-commerce booking systems you’ve delivered.
I’m happy to answer any other questions you have before we kick off.
