Full Stack Django developer
Budget: ₹100 – ₹400 INR
Hello there :)
Thanks for taking a look here.
We are looking for a full stack developer experienced in Django and React to build a web app for proof of concept of a RON (remote online notarization) platform.
RON is the official term for a US legally accepted alternative to in-person document notarization. This is achieved by the signer and notary meeting virtually via an audio-visual call, verifying the signers identity using two verification methods (answering KBA & capturing/verifying government issued ID), upon which the parties sign electronically using secured-by-X.509 PKI e-sign technology.
For auditing purposes, RON requires that a video recording of the call is stored for the record and for the notary to keep an electronic journal of each notarial act.
(RON explained: https://www.docusign.com/blog/remote-online-notarization-guide).
Licensed notaries in the US will have the ability to signup to the platform to be served jobs and will get paid a set fee for each session they carry out.
Users requiring notary services, will login and begin a ‘session’ by uploading their docs & marking the signature areas. Next they'll make payment (Stripe) and be taken through ID verification upon which they'll be connected into a live audio-visual call with a notary where the user e-signs the document followed by the notary e-signing and attaching their electronic notary seal.
(Some of the popular RON platforms out there include https://notarize.com, https://stavvy.com, and https://notarycam.com)
All core components of RON (video call, ID verification, e-sign) already have many popular/established solutions with well documented API's out there, so most of the dev here is about piecing it all together in the most efficient way.
This job in a nutshell:
BACKEND
Django (using any database type you feel is most suited)
3 core apps:
Admin
App (user)
Notary
FRONTEND
React (Bootstrap 5)
3 core areas:
Session (upload/manage docs, make payment, verify identity, audio-visual call)
User dashboard (registration, profile, sessions history with docs & video)
Notary dashboard (registration, profile, scheduling, sessions history, electronic journal, payment status)
In the long run we will be looking at taking this more robust (by adding things like iOS/Android apps and the building out of an API) but for now its about a beta version for proof of concept which we are not anticipating to take more than a few weeks to build.
