Custom Django CPD Website Development
Budget: $750 – $1,500 AUD
I'm looking for a Django expert to help me build a Continuing Professional Development (CPD) website with some specific features.
- **User Authentication**: The site will include a member sign up and I'd like users to be able to register using their email and password.
- **CPD Listings and Calendar**: I'd like the CPD listings to be organized with the ability to filter and sort through these listings. This will be essential for users to easily find and sign up for CPD activities that suit their needs.
- **CPD Log and Store**: I'd need a CPD log where users can track their progress and a store for CPD documents.
- **Paid Services**: There will be paid services on the website, for which I'd like to integrate credit card and PayPal payment functionalities.
Ideal Skills/Experience:
- Strong Django and Python skills
- Experience in developing custom websites with user authentication systems
- Previous experience developing payment gateways, particularly with credit card and PayPal
- Understanding of CPD systems and user tracking

A CPD website / system that provides the following:
A member sign up with the option for monthly paid access to premium content (basic free, Silver, Gold, Platinum). The sign up should be simple and free and should store basic contact details (First / last name, email, phone, sector, profession / job title (from a list of pre-set options).
Provider sign up with the option for paid services. The sign up should be simple and require a credit card for paid listing of CPD at a monthly fee (basic, silver, gold, platinum levels).
A CPD list / calendar which can be set up to include: CPD Provider details (from above), name of the activity, date, number of hours and/or number of CPD points, category (pre-set list), Learning goals, years of experience the CPD is targeted at. These should ideally be completed by the provider but can be added by a member if the provider isn’t in the system but duplicates need to be avoided. If done by the provider, a QR Code should be generated that can be scanned by attendees to log CPD attendance by a member.
A CPD Log for a member to log CPD activity. This means linking to the relevant CPD with the Name of the activity, date undertaken, number of hours and / or number of CPD points, category (pre-set list), Learning goals coming from the master CPD record.
The member needs to be able to rate the CPD (1-5 star ratings) on the following: Overall, delivery, each learning goal and whether the experience level was accurate.
A store for members to store course transcripts and other learning documents against formal qualifications.
Paid advertising of approved courses (presented by sector / profession) targeted to members.
An accreditation model for ensuring quality CPD will be developed for higher levels of CPD provider membership.
This is a bootstrapped startup so looking for MVP. Advice on how best to get MVP developed for launch is welcomed.
