Urgent: Build Crowdfunding Feature with Stripe Connect (Django ORM, 2–3 Day Turnaround)
Overview
We are looking for an experienced Django developer to rapidly implement a crowdfunding system using Stripe Connect Express. This is a fast-turnaround job—the rest of the platform is already live and functional.
This feature will allow users (organizers) to receive direct contributions for their events, with 90% going to them and 10% going to the platform, deducted from every contribution (not based on campaign success). You will build the server-side logic using Django ORM—no DRF.
Scope
Stripe Integration
Set up Stripe Connect Express for organizers
Store connected account IDs on the user model
Use application_fee_amount to:
Route 90% to organizer
Route 10% to platform
Implement secure webhook handling:
checkout.session.completed
payment_intent.succeeded
charge.succeeded
Campaign + Contribution Logic
Models:
Campaign: title, goal, deadline, organizer, description, etc.
Contribution: campaign FK, amount, timestamp, Stripe session ID
Views:
Create + manage campaigns (backend-only is fine)
Contribution/payment form (via Stripe Checkout)
Display live funding progress
Referral Attribution
Basic system to assign internal employee (referrer) to an organizer
Store referrer on user or campaign model
Make visible in Django admin
Admin Access
Campaign and contribution tracking in Django admin
Show referral attribution
View Stripe connection status per organizer
Requirements

PostgreSQL or similar
