Real Time Discord Coin Stats Bot

I need a small Discord bot that posts live statistics for a single cryptocurrency in the server’s left-hand panel so anyone can see key figures without opening a channel. The data must come directly from CoinGecko. At a glance the panel should update with price, liquidity, global hash rate, current supply, market cap, difficulty and block count; with public website link for the coin.

The exact coin can remain configurable in a settings file or a simple slash command so I can point the bot at any coin or any other asset later without touching the code. Updates every 5 minutes, so long as Discord’s rate limits are respected.

I plan to run this on my own server, so please ensure that the bot can be run off Ubuntu and provide instructions as to how I can do this.

Deliverables:
• Complete, well-commented source code
• A short README explaining setup, required environment variables and how to change the target coin and how to connect the bot to discord.
• Details of server side setup in ubuntu, already running a web server.
• A quick test session in my server to confirm the panel updates correctly and survives a bot restart


If everything works smoothly I’m open to adding extra metrics later, but for now the scope is limited to the fields above using CoinGecko only.
