Streaming Coordinator (Freelance / Remote)

Location: 100% Remote
Availability: Flexible, with occasional weekend sessions

We’re looking for a freelance Streaming Coordinator to support the execution of our live and pre-recorded streams during events. These streams typically include kickoffs and closing sessions, and are about 1 hour long. You’ll work with our internal team and event guests to deliver a smooth, high-quality streaming experience.

What You’ll Do
• Prepare OBS scenes/layouts using assets provided by our design team
• Coordinate pre-stream setup and technical checks
• Operate OBS during live broadcasts (scene switching, video source management, overlays, etc.)
• Manage guest and host video/audio inputs via Discord screen/audio capture
• Handle video streaming to the designated platform (e.g., YouTube, Twitch)
• Incorporate media assets (videos, slides, intros/outros) during the stream
• Ensure technical continuity during the stream, adjusting to last-minute changes
• Occasionally support streams during weekends (mostly for key events)

Our Current Setup
• Guests and hosts join a Discord call
• We use screen and audio capture from Discord as input for OBS
• Graphics (overlays, intros, transitions) are fully provided
• Some events are live on-site, but the stream setup remains remote

If you have ideas for better ways to run the stream (tools, routing, production improvements), we’re all ears. We welcome technical creativity as long as it keeps things simple and reliable.

Ideal Candidate
• Proficient with OBS Studio, scene setup, media sources, and transitions
• Familiar with capturing Discord video/audio for streams
• Experience with live streaming to platforms like YouTube, Twitch, or Vimeo
• Quick, reliable, and comfortable working under time constraints
• Bonus: Experience with multi-streaming platforms or audio routing tools (e.g., Restream)
