Marketplace Vehicle Scraper with Discord Alerts
Budget: $25 – $50 USD
We’re seeking an experienced developer to create a scraper that continuously monitors FB Marketplace for vehicle listings that match a tight set of criteria and then sends Discord notifications the moment a match appears. It will pull make and model, year, mileage, price, fuel type, 4x4 (if possible), etc.
AI can not be used to do the bulk of coding and testing/deployment. This failed in the past.
Speed is critical: the shorter the gap between the vehicle being listed the better. Ideally would like to be within 5-10 mins or less. A lag of more than a couple of minutes starts costing opportunities, so lean code, smart scheduling and efficient parsing are a must.
Ideally we will be using 7-8 hubs at 500 mile searches across the US to get full coverage.
Accounts will likely be an aspect of this, we can provide them or if you have recommendations on sources we are open to them. Stealth & security to run quickly without having accounts being banned too fast is key.
Vehicle search profiles should be easy for me to tweak without touching the core logic, preferably via a simple config file. The solution can run headless on a VPS or cloud function; feel free to choose the stack you’re most comfortable with (Python-Selenium, Node-Puppeteer, Playwright, etc.) as long as it stays stable against FB's layout changes.
Acceptance criteria
• Near-real-time Discord alerts (5-10 min at least) containing the full listing URL, key specs, time since posted, and posted price
• Adjustable filters/search profiles for make/model, year, mileage, price, fuel, etc
• Error handling that retries gracefully and logs failures
• If you can deploy and monitor via SSH or whatever method to the VPS, that is preferred.
