Fix DigitalOcean-GitLab Deployments

My production app on DigitalOcean App Platform still runs fine on its last successful build, but the platform has suddenly stopped seeing any branches in the connected GitLab repo. When I trigger a build I receive the error “Git branch not found,” and the branch list in App Platform reads “No options available.” DigitalOcean can display the last deployed commit hash, yet it will not fetch newer commits or offer them for deployment.
I have full administrative access to both DigitalOcean and GitLab. No application code changes are needed; this is purely a source-integration or authentication problem. I need someone who understands the interplay between DigitalOcean App Platform, GitLab authentication (OAuth, personal access tokens, SSH keys), and webhooks to:
• Diagnose why the branch list is empty and new commits are ignored.
• Re-establish a clean, secure connection so App Platform again detects the main branch and future commits automatically.
• Verify that a new commit triggers a successful build and deployment without disrupting the currently running app.
You’ll get temporary access to the relevant DigitalOcean project and GitLab repository settings, and I’ll be available for quick credential swaps or 2FA approvals. Once resolved I’d like a brief note outlining what broke, what you changed, and any maintenance tips so this doesn’t recur.
