DigitalOcean Droplet Migration

I need to move everything from an existing Digital Ocean droplet to a fresh droplet on the same platform. This is a straight server migration—no multi-cloud work, no green-field deployment, just a clean cut-over of the current stack.

What matters most is keeping downtime to a bare minimum while ensuring all services come up exactly as they do now. You’ll handle creation of the new droplet, configure the OS and tooling to mirror the present environment, copy application code, databases, storage, and SSL certificates, then switch DNS once smoke tests pass.

Please bring solid DevOps know-how on Digital Ocean, comfort with SSH, Docker (if containers are involved), database dumps/restores, and automated backups so we can roll back if anything looks off.

Deliverables
• Fully configured new droplet, secured and hardened
• Data and application stack migrated and verified
• DNS or load-balancer cut-over with no noticeable downtime
• Brief hand-off notes outlining commands, config changes, and any cron or monitoring updates
