designing algorithm for digital filtering

it is required to Develop and evaluate two algorithms to equalise the frequency response of a room from 100 Hz to 10 kHz (including the loudspeakers). It is suggested that one algorithm can be an FIR filter, and the other can be an IIR filter. You should also design and synthesize appropriate test signals to use as input signals to evaluate your algorithms.
Write the Matlab code and comment each step and show the input and outputs of your code with briefly explain for each output.
