Shopify Digital Store Setup Guide

I’ve just decided to launch an online retail venture focused entirely on selling digital products, and I’m starting from absolute zero. I’ve chosen Shopify as my platform, but that’s where my certainty ends. I need an experienced Shopify specialist to walk me through every step—from opening the account right through to making the first sale—so I can avoid rookie mistakes and build a solid foundation.

Here’s where I’m at:
• No store created yet
• Product files ready but not uploaded
• Branding, theme, payments, fulfilment of downloads, basic SEO, and launch strategy all still untouched

What I expect from you:
1. Set up or guide me through setting up the core Shopify store (theme selection, essential apps, and settings that matter for digital goods).
2. Configure secure digital-product delivery, automatic fulfilment, and a simple customer experience.
3. Help me structure product pages that convert—copy, imagery, pricing models, discount codes.
4. Connect payments, taxes, and legal pages so I’m compliant from day one.
5. Teach me the day-to-day operations: adding new digital files, processing orders, issuing updates or refunds, tracking analytics.
6. Provide a concise checklist I can follow after we finish, so I stay on track without feeling overwhelmed.

Acceptance criteria:
• A live, fully functional Shopify store capable of selling at least one digital product.
• I understand each step clearly and can repeat it myself.
• All core settings tested (payments, automatic file delivery, email notifications).
