SearchSpring Specialist for E-Commerce Revamp

Job ID: 40521575

Budget: $1,500 – $3,000 AUD

Following a recent theme upgrade on the BigCommerce CMS, our SearchSpring implementation is no longer performing as it should. We need an experienced SearchSpring specialist to diagnose what's broken, restore full functionality, and advise on best-practice configuration going forward.

This is a short, sharp, high-impact engagement. You'll work directly with our Digital Marketing Manager — diagnosing issues, implementing fixes, and transferring knowledge so the platform is left in a stronger, well-documented state than before.

What you'll do

Audit the current SearchSpring setup post theme-upgrade and identify what has broken or regressed

Restore search, autocomplete, merchandising, filtering/faceting and any affected functionality

Re-establish correct data feed / catalogue indexing and template integration with the new theme

Review and optimise relevancy rules, synonyms, redirects and merchandising campaigns

Advise on best-practice configuration and guardrails to prevent breakage on future theme changes

Coach and upskill our Digital Marketing Manager so they can confidently manage day-to-day

What we're looking for

Deep, demonstrable SearchSpring expertise — not general site-search; specifically SearchSpring's IQ, merchandising console, and integration model

Proven experience troubleshooting SearchSpring after theme or platform changes

Strong understanding of how SearchSpring templates, data feeds and front-end integration interact

Familiarity with the ecommerce platform/theme framework in use (please tell us yours)

Ability to explain best practice clearly to a non-developer marketer

Self-directed, fast, and outcomes-focused
