Pre-Release Music Hype Campaign
Budget: $2 – $30 USD
My debut single is already queued through DistroKid but it hasn’t gone live yet, so this window before release is all about building serious buzz and making sure the moment it drops it lands everywhere listeners hang out. I want a strategist who can treat the launch like a mini-festival: stir anticipation, trigger pre-saves, and then fan that spark into steady streams and new followers once the track and its music video hit every platform—Instagram, YouTube, Spotify and any other place fans discover music today.
The core of the job is threefold: craft a cohesive pre-release story, execute platform-specific roll-outs, and secure ongoing playlist & influencer placement after launch. That means transforming raw assets—cover art, teaser clips, full-length video—into a content calendar that plays to each algorithm while staying on-brand, as well as pitching the single to curators, tastemakers and blogs that can move the needle.
You’ll be free to choose the exact mix of tools (from Canva, TikTok Sounds and Meta Ads Manager to SubmitHub, Groover or direct curator outreach) so long as they hit these acceptance points:
• Pre-save campaign live at least two weeks before release with measurable email list growth.
• Teaser content scheduled across major socials, optimized to the specs of each platform.
• At least five playlist or blog features secured within the first week of release.
• Post-launch performance report with stream counts, follower gains and next-step recommendations.
If you speak the language of DSP algorithms, know how to seed hype without feeling spammy, and have a proven track record for turning first-week drops into long-tail listens, let’s lock in the plan now so we can hit the ground running the moment the distributor pushes the button.
