We are looking for an ambitious Performance Marketer to guide the business as we refocus for FY24. As we expand across categories, this role will be critical in managing all our performance channels in order to create impactful and effective customer experiences as well as help us uncover new opportunities. To achieve this you will build on our existing strategy and own the execution - you will be hands on in search & social will play a critical part in building our performance marketing strategy. You will then work closely with Category Management to uncover opportunities to refine the strategy
The role will also help drive the success of our various marketing campaigns, working alongside various teams - brand, sales, earned - we help achieve their goals, from sales to sessions. In eCommerce you will work alongside experts in performance marketing, website experience, CRM & lifecycle marketing to deliver seamless end to end experiences for our customers.

What key responsibilities does this role have @ Koala?
Grow & drive performance within Koala’s in-house Agency, directly within growth platforms including Search, Social & programmatic.
Develop and initiate the strategic approach for performance marketing, that is aligned to the brand & customer acquisition vision and roadmap along with your fellow Performance Marketing team & Senior Ecommerce Manager.
Work closely with category directors to build our vertical focused strategy
Develop, measure and ultimately meet goals for these channels in line with Koala’s targets and budgets.
Collaborate with creative, brand, digital & agency partners to identify opportunities to drive heightened success in your channels.
Accountable for budget pacing, forecasting and reporting to the wider organisation.
Establish & maintain communications with publishers and tech partners.
Manage an experimentation roadmap to create & develop learnings.
Continue to assess vendors and relevance to Koala’s marketing mix.
Stay abreast of trends across social and programmatic, providing insight to creative, brand & the wider business about innovative ways to challenge the status quo.
Ideal background…
~5 years industry experience in Paid/Performance hands on and strategic experience, with a focus on search/SEM
Experience in or an understanding of eCommerce and customer acquisition
Sound understanding of SEO best practices and growth tactics.
Experience in building and executing performance marketing programs that deliver company growth
Working experience with Google stack, Facebook Ads Manager is essential
A working knowledge of analytics and multi-touch attribution
Familiarity with the Australian digital marketing landscape
Excellent written and communication skills
The ability to work to a brief & tight deadlines
A drive to stay at the bleeding edge of digital marketing
