Local SEO Specialist for Promotional Merchandise Business

We're an established promotional merchandise and custom embroidery business based in the Greater Toronto Area. We've been successfully operating for 5+ years and recently launched our new website. We need an experienced local SEO specialist to build comprehensive local citations to improve our online visibility.

Project Scope:
Primary Deliverable - Local Citations (Initial Phase):
Build approximately 50+ high-quality local business citations
Focus on Canadian-specific directories
Include industry-specific directories (print industry, apparel, embroidery, promotional products, custom merchandise)
Ensure NAP (Name, Address, Phone) consistency across all platforms
We have no existing citations, so this is a fresh start
We're looking for quality over quantity - recommend the best directories for our industry and location
Optional Separate Milestone - Google Search Console:
If you also have experience with Google Search Console and can help resolve technical SEO issues, please mention this in your proposal. This would be discussed separately (likely via call) and set up as an additional milestone if we proceed.
What We're Looking For:
This is an initial setup project with strong potential for ongoing work
We understand citation building is most effective as an ongoing effort for ranking improvements
If this initial phase goes well, we'd like to continue building citations and potentially expand to other SEO services
Required Skills:
Proven experience with Canadian local SEO and citation building
Deep knowledge of Canadian business directories (general and industry-specific)
Experience with print/apparel/promotional products industry directories (preferred)
Understanding of NAP consistency and local SEO best practices
Google Business Profile optimization knowledge
Excellent attention to detail
Strong communication skills for potential ongoing relationship
