We're a digital marketing agency looking for a skilled link building contractor to build quality backlink profiles for our SEO clients. You'll start with a single client campaign to prove your process and results. If the quality is there, this grows into ongoing work across our client base, with the potential for full-time hours.
The work
The first engagement is a focused backlink campaign targeting a handful of competitive keywords for an SME services website. The only links we're interested in are do-follow placements on genuinely high-authority domains: DR 60+ on Ahrefs, solid organic traffic, and real editorial standards. Whether the link comes via a guest post, an in-content editorial mention, a niche resource list, or another white-hat method doesn't matter, as long as quality and relevance are clear.
How the collaboration works:
You identify and vet suitable domains, then handle personalised outreach and placement.
We supply anchor text and target URLs tied to the keywords being pushed.
Each acquired link is logged with URL, DR, traffic metrics, and a live screenshot for verification.
A link building budget is available for premium paid placements where justified, subject to our approval on a per-placement basis. Flag these in your prospect list with costs so we can sign off before you commit anything.
We monitor performance in Ahrefs and Google Search Console, so transparency on your process and timelines is essential. If you already have publisher relationships in the business or B2B space, mention them. Speed is a bonus, but authority comes first.
Deliverables
A prospect list for approval before any outreach begins, with paid placement opportunities and costs clearly flagged.
Live do-follow links meeting the agreed authority benchmarks (we'll finalise the quota together).
A wrap-up report summarising placements, metrics, and next-step suggestions.
Everything must follow Google's spam policies and quality guidelines: no PBNs, no automation, no spun content, no link farms.
Who we're looking for
Extensive, demonstrable experience building quality backlink profiles for SEO clients, ideally within an agency environment.
Examples of past campaigns with before/after metrics or live placements you can point to.
Strong written English for outreach.
Reliable communication and honest reporting; if something isn't working, we want to know early.
Rate and structure
This is an hourly engagement. Please state your hourly rate, your typical output (links per month at the DR 60+ standard), your approach, past wins on similar campaigns, and how quickly you can start. Contractors who perform well on the first client will be offered additional client campaigns, with a path to full-time work.
