We are looking for an experienced Associate Director of Marketing to help lead digital marketing strategy, eCommerce growth, customer acquisition planning, CRM communications, campaign analytics, and marketing operations.

Position Summary

The Associate Director of Marketing will support Lane Automotive’s growth across B2C and B2B customer segments. This role will help turn business goals into measurable marketing initiatives that increase qualified traffic, improve product visibility, strengthen customer engagement, optimize conversion rates, and drive online revenue growth.

The ideal candidate has strong experience in digital marketing strategy, paid media, SEO, CRM, analytics, campaign reporting, eCommerce optimization, and cross-functional marketing leadership.

Primary Responsibilities

Digital Marketing Strategy & Planning

- Develop and implement a comprehensive digital marketing and eCommerce growth strategy aligned with Lane Automotive’s revenue, customer acquisition, and dealer engagement goals.
- Build integrated multi-channel marketing plans across SEO, Google Ads, Meta Ads, email marketing, CRM, web, social media, content, and digital advertising channels.
- Translate business objectives into measurable marketing initiatives that increase qualified traffic, leads, dealer engagement, product visibility, customer retention, and online sales.
- Collaborate with marketing, eCommerce, product/category, sales, analytics, creative, and leadership teams to improve funnel performance and customer journey effectiveness.

Marketing Analytics & ROI

- Analyze campaign performance, website performance, customer acquisition data, eCommerce revenue, product performance, and marketing ROI.
- Develop dashboards and reporting systems to measure campaign effectiveness across traffic, conversion rate, ROAS, CAC, CPL, CTR, CVR, revenue, retention, and customer engagement.
- Evaluate performance by channel, customer segment, campaign, product category, and audience type.
- Monitor marketing spend and recommend budget allocation strategies to improve efficiency, profitability, and long-term growth.
- Provide clear strategic recommendations based on marketing analytics, customer behavior, and eCommerce performance data.

CRM Communications & Marketing Operations

- Oversee CRM communication strategy, customer segmentation, lifecycle marketing, email campaigns, and retention-focused communication workflows.
- Develop communication calendars, audience segmentation strategies, campaign schedules, and customer engagement plans.
- Establish operational workflows, documentation, tracking standards, reporting processes, and marketing performance routines.
- Manage project timelines and coordinate cross-functional digital marketing initiatives.
- Ensure marketing communications align with business goals, customer needs, brand positioning, product priorities, and revenue objectives.

Leadership & Collaboration

- Serve as a strategic liaison between Marketing, E-Commerce, Product, Sales, Analytics, Creative, Operations, and Executive Leadership.
- Facilitate marketing planning meetings, campaign reviews, performance discussions, and digital growth strategy sessions.
- Manage relationships with external freelancers, consultants, agencies, vendors, and marketing partners when needed.
- Stay informed on emerging trends in eCommerce marketing, paid media, SEO, CRM, AI tools, analytics, customer acquisition, and automotive aftermarket marketing.

Qualifications

- 5+ years of experience in digital marketing, eCommerce marketing, performance marketing, CRM strategy, marketing analytics, or marketing operations.
- Strong experience leading digital marketing initiatives that support customer acquisition, revenue growth, campaign performance, and measurable business outcomes.
- Experience with eCommerce, product-driven businesses, retail, automotive, performance aftermarket, distribution, or B2B/B2C customer segments is strongly preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Analytics, or a related field is preferred, but equivalent professional experience will be considered.

Technical Skills

Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in:

- Google Analytics / GA4
- Google Tag Manager
- Looker Studio or similar dashboard/reporting tools
- Google Ads
- Meta Ads Manager
- SEO tools and SEO strategy
- CRM and email marketing platforms
- eCommerce platforms, CMS systems, product catalog tools, or PIM systems
- Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets
- Digital campaign reporting and ROI analysis
- Project management tools such as Monday.com, Asana, Trello, ClickUp, or similar platforms
- Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or related content tools is a plus

- Automotive aftermarket, performance parts, motorsports, truck, off-road, or eCommerce retail experience
- Experience working with both B2C consumers and B2B dealer/customer segments
- Experience with product catalog optimization, product page SEO, merchandising, and product content strategy
- Experience with marketing automation, email lifecycle campaigns, CRM segmentation, and retention marketing
- Experience managing external agencies, freelancers, consultants, or digital marketing vendors
- Experience using AI tools to improve reporting, content planning, campaign analysis, or marketing operations

Deal-Breakers

- Less than 5 years of relevant digital marketing, eCommerce marketing, or marketing strategy experience
- No hands-on experience with analytics, reporting, CRM, SEO, or paid media performance measurement
- Unable to communicate clearly, manage projects, or provide structured weekly updates
- No ability to work with cross-functional teams, freelancers, vendors, or leadership stakeholders

Success Metrics

First 30-60 Days:
Review Lane Automotive’s current digital marketing, eCommerce, SEO, CRM, campaign reporting, tracking, and analytics setup. Identify gaps, opportunities, tracking issues, campaign priorities, product visibility issues, and conversion improvement areas. Deliver a clear marketing audit, priority recommendations, and an initial action plan.

First 3-6 Months:
Improve campaign reporting, customer segmentation, SEO execution, paid media coordination, product content performance, and conversion rate optimization. Support better alignment between marketing activity, customer acquisition, dealer engagement, and online revenue growth.

First 12 Months:
Help build a scalable digital marketing and eCommerce growth system for Lane Automotive. Improve marketing efficiency, qualified traffic, product visibility, customer engagement, reporting accuracy, revenue contribution, and long-term marketing strategy.
