Trace Romance Scammer Location

Job ID: 39890052

Budget: $250 – $750 USD

I’m looking for an experienced digital-forensics or OSINT specialist who can help me identify, as precisely as legally possible, where a romance scammer has been operating from. The entire interaction happened inside Google Workspace Chat.

What I already have
• The scammer’s Google Workspace email address
• The complete chat history exported from Google Chat (JSON + screenshots)
• Audio recordings of our calls stored as MP3 files

What I still need
1. A structured report that pinpoints the most likely geographic location (city/region if feasible) of the scammer, based on header analysis, metadata extraction, and any open-source intelligence you can lawfully gather.
2. A clear explanation of every investigative step you took so the evidence chain is defensible if I decide to take it to Google or law enforcement later.
3. Practical recommendations on how and where to file an official report, plus advice on safeguarding my Google account and personal data going forward.

Scope notes
– I have not yet reported the incident to Google or the authorities; I’d like to collect solid evidence first.
– No intrusive or illegal methods—please stick to publicly available tools, email-header forensics, social-media profiling, Maltego, WHOIS, or comparable OSINT techniques.
– If you discover new artifacts (IP ranges, linked accounts, reused images, etc.), include them in the final documentation so they can be cited in a formal complaint.

I’m aiming for a thorough but focused investigation leading to an actionable report, with any raw data and your written analysis delivered in an organized folder. If you’ve successfully traced online scammers before or have a strong background in cyber investigations, I’d love to hear how you would approach this case and roughly how long it might take.
