I am seeking a qualified forensic video analysis expert to review a mobile phone video that is being presented as evidence in ongoing court proceedings. I have reason to believe the video has been modified, edited, or otherwise manipulated (e.g., through splicing, deepfake elements, timestamp alterations, or other digital tampering). The goal is to conduct a thorough forensic examination to identify any signs of inauthenticity and provide credible documentation to support discrediting the video in court.
Key Requirements:
Expertise Needed: Proven experience in digital video forensics, including analyzing metadata, frame-by-frame inspection, compression artifacts, pixel inconsistencies, audio-video sync issues, and detection of AI-generated manipulations (e.g., deepfakes). Familiarity with tools like Amped FIVE, Adobe Photoshop forensics plugins, or similar software is a plus. Certifications such as those from LEVA (Law Enforcement & Emergency Services Video Association) or similar bodies are highly desirable.
Scope of Work:
Receive the video file securely (via encrypted transfer) and perform a detailed analysis.
Identify and document any evidence of editing, manipulation, or fabrication.
Produce a professional report outlining findings, methodologies used, and conclusions, suitable for submission as expert evidence in court (e.g., including chain of custody documentation).
If applicable, be available for an affidavit, deposition, or remote testimony (additional compensation can be discussed).
Confidentiality: This is sensitive legal material, so you must be willing to sign an NDA. All work must comply with ethical standards and legal requirements for forensic evidence.
