Digital Surveillance Video Authentication

Job ID: 39860531

Budget: $750 – $1,500 SGD

I need a certified video-forensics professional to authenticate a digital surveillance clip. The goal is to confirm whether the file is original or has been altered in any way so I can rely on it for potential legal proceedings.

The source is digital surveillance footage, supplied exactly as it was exported from the recorder. I expect a defensible analysis that covers:

• Validation of file integrity through hashing and metadata review
• Detection of edits, re-encoding, frame drops, overlays, or other tampering indicators
• Targeted enhancement or clarification of frames only when it helps prove authenticity

Deliverables
1. Comprehensive PDF report detailing methodology, tools used (e.g., Amped FIVE, FFmpeg, or similar), findings, and a clear conclusion on authenticity
2. Chain-of-custody log with matching hash values
3. Annotated screenshots or short reference clips highlighting any anomalies discovered

The original file will be provided via secure transfer after we sign an NDA. Please outline your experience with surveillance video, any courtroom testimony you have given, and the software you intend to employ. I’d like the final report within one week of receiving the footage. Let me know if you have questions before we begin.
