Freelance Designer/Illustrator Wanted for Custom Font & Branding Artwork
Budget: $750 – $1,500 AUD
We’re looking for a creative designer or illustrator to help shape our brand identity at Evadear, a clothing label with a feminine, imperfect, soft, natural, and playful aesthetic.
This project has two key parts, and we’re open to working with one artist for both or two separate artists, depending on skill sets and interests.
1️⃣ Custom Handwritten-Style Font
We want to bring a quirky, nostalgic, handwritten-style font to life! This font will play a key role in our brand identity, so we’re looking for someone who can capture the right playful, vintage-inspired feel.
No prior paid experience in font design? No problem!
If you have the right software, materials, and knowledge to digitize a font and are excited to give it a go, we’d love to hear from you. Whether you’re an illustrator, lettering artist, tattoo artist, or just have a great eye for typography, this could be a fun creative challenge.
2️⃣ Illustrated Branding Artwork for E-Commerce
We also need a designer to illustrate and digitize three stylized e-commerce branding touchpoints, ensuring they feel like personal, handwritten letters, paired with cohesive, minimalist illustrations and coloring.
What We Need:
• Thank You Card (Front - A4): A hand-sketched variation of the Evadear logo with a colored floral illustration expanding from it
• Thank You Card (Back - A4): A thank-you message, collection description, care instructions, and social media links (formatted in our brand font) with illustrated elements surrounding the text
• Shipping Label (4x6 inches): A black line illustration with no background, incorporating shipping details in our brand font with subtle illustrations around the text
We’ll provide further creative direction and details once the right artist is chosen.
Who We’re Looking For:
• An illustrator with a unique style that aligns with our brand’s soft, imperfect, nostalgic, and playful aesthetic
• Someone with freelance illustration experience who understands branding and visual storytelling
• Comfortable with digitizing hand-drawn elements for print and ensuring they translate well across different formats
• Has the right software and tools for illustration, font creation, and digitization
• Ability to create work that feels cohesive, expressive, and tailored to our brand identity
