Watercolor Children’s Book Illustrations

I’m wrapping up a picture book aimed at 4- to 7-year-olds and need a gifted artist who works in a soft, expressive watercolor style. The job involves creating between eleven and twenty full-color illustrations (with the option to add a cover) that feel warm, playful, and emotionally clear.

You’ll receive the final manuscript, page breakdowns, and concise art notes for each spread. I’ll rely on you to translate those notes into engaging scenes that keep young readers’ eyes moving from page to page.

Scope and technical details
• Watercolor look—hand-painted or digitally rendered with authentic textures
• Consistent palette and character design across all pages
• Final size: 11" × 8.5" landscape, 300 dpi, CMYK for print plus RGB versions for digital release
• Deliverables: layered PSD or TIFF files and flattened JPEG/PDF previews

Acceptance process
1. Character and palette sample for approval
2. One fully rendered spread
3. Remaining illustrations completed in batches for feedback
