Realistic Kids Book Illustrations

I’m finalizing a 14-page picture book for children 2+ years of age and now need the artwork that will bring each page to life. The story is light-hearted and playful, yet I want the visuals to feel real enough for children to recognize themselves and their world. Think expressive characters, accurate proportions, and vivid environment- specifically the aquarium. Needs to be infused with color, movement and fun.
Scope
• One full-color, full-bleed illustration for each of the 14 pages of text.
• Each piece delivered at 300 dpi, sized for an 8 × 10-inch trim (with bleed and safety margins).
• Layered source files (PSD or Procreate) plus flattened print-ready PNG/TIFF.
• A quick thumbnail or rough sketch for every page before moving on to final rendering, so we can lock composition and pacing together.
Acceptance
A spread is approved once it matches the agreed sketch, keeps details consistent across pages, and prints cleanly at the specified size without color banding.
