Photoshop Image Editing and Tutorial
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
1) Open the attached file (TP4.psd) in Adobe Photoshop.
2) Make the ruler visible and display the increments as pixels. Drag horizontal and vertical guides to the center of the background image. Be sure to keep the rulers visible. They need to be there when the project is graded to receive credit.
3) Open the attached image (TP4_Rust.jpg) in Adobe Photoshop and create a new layer by dragging the image onto TP4.psd. Name the layer “Rust” and drag it to the bottom right corner of the document. Resize the layer so that it snaps into the lower right square created by the guides.
4) Open the paths panel and select the path named “Arc.” Use the Path Selection Tool to move the path so that its right end point touches the lower right corner of the background image.
5) Select the Type Tool and click the path near the lower left end point. Change the font to “Cooper Black” at 110pt. Make sure “Left Align Text” is selected and type the word “RUSTED” along the path in caps. (If the text doesn't fit, verify that Tracking is set to zero in the Character panel.)
Some of you may not have Cooper Black installed on your system. If so, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/apps/integration-with-other-apps/manage-fonts/add-fonts.html
6) Create a clipping mask for the text using the rust texture. *Hint* Are your layers in the correct order?
7) Add a 3px black stroke to the text layer and change its blending mode to “Hard Light.” Your finished product should resemble the attached example.
8) Save your image as a PSD (TP4_Cengiz.psd) with layers intact.
You could share it with me through photoshop and I will provide you my email so you can share it with me. If you can explain how you did it so I can understand the information provided that would be great.
Below I will provide the images needed (TP4.psd) (this file isn't here on the bid I will explain why below this text) and (TP4_Rust.jpg). I will provide you an example of what the finished example product provided by the course should look like as TP4_FINISHED_EXAMPLE.
For the (TP4.psd) file. It's a file that directly opens up on photoshop I have tried to upload it to here and it kept on saying "Upload Failed" on the website. I think I will have to provide that file to you personally so you can upload it on photoshop if needed.
