1819 Oil Painting Digital Restoration
Budget: £10 – £20 GBP
The image sarah-alexander---portrait.jpg is the source image that you should work from. This is a photograph taken in recent times of an original oil painting from around 1819.
The other image that I have attached, sarah-alexander---portrait-copy.jpg is NOT for you to work from. I have provided it for two reasons. First, it shows the area that I want you to crop to when doing the restoration. Second, it shows you what I don't want: harsh outlines and harsh shadows such as there is under the nose.
I want the finished image to be soft and feminine.
You'll have gathered that the lady is wearing a bonnet with a feather in it. Be sure not to destroy the featheriness of the feather, this is an important feature showing the fashion of the time.
I should like the background to become a matt shade of grey.
I want the finished image to be delivered as a jpg file.
