Manga Action Graphic Novel Illustrator

Job ID: 40104952

Budget: $10 – $30 USD

I’m developing an action-packed, manga-style graphic novel and have the full story arc, panel breakdowns, and rough character sketches ready to go. What I need now is a dependable illustrator who can take these foundations and turn them into polished, print-ready pages while keeping the artwork consistent from panel to panel.

My sketches outline the look and feel, but there’s room for you to refine anatomy, expressions, and dynamic poses so the action really pops. Expect close collaboration: I’ll supply scripts, thumbnails, and feedback on pacing; you’ll handle clean line art, inking, tonal work, and final page layout. If you prefer working digitally, Clip Studio Paint or Procreate is perfect, though I’m open to any workflow that delivers layered PSD or high-res TIFF files suitable for both web and print.

We can tackle the book chapter by chapter, reviewing each batch of pages together before moving on, so revisions stay light and momentum stays high. If creating a memorable shōnen-style fight scene or a high-speed chase excites you, let’s bring this story to life.

Prelude
A group of Boka Haram terrorist storms into a small village in Western Ethiopia in the early morning hours.
Technical vehicles drive in with men and children shooting the villagers. Some being hacked to death with machetes, others being run over with vehicles, or stoned to death.

*
Woman and young girls are rounded up and raped, others are thrown into cages on trucks. Those breast feeding have their breast hacked off with machetes.
A man on a bullhorn belt’s out, “anyone supporting the Western ways will be killed, no reading other than the Koran. Girls will not be schooled, No Western medicine, pictures, music, food aid. We will kill all non-conformist, you, and your seed. We will rape and enslave your woman and children and all those that don’t follow us”!

*
The younger children are whipped with bamboo rods and thrown into cages on trucks before the terrorist drive back West across the border to safety.

*
The villagers that fled or hid try to give what aid they can to their fellow tribesmen and woman, but for most it will be too late before help arrives.
Two teens that hid in the underbrush during the attack tell some of the other villagers they will go to the next village and ask for help.
They set off through the desolate Western Ethiopian landscape.

*
As the two teens crest a hill to the next village they notice the stench in the air, fires burning but not cooking fires like they thought they saw in the distance.
As they got closer, they noticed the swarms of flies, vultures, large and small scavengers feeding off the corpses of the dead and dying.
