Lifetime Father-Son Hug Portrait

I’d like to commission a realistic, full-colour portrait of my father and me embracing each other. We never posed for a photo in that moment, and unfortunately I do not have any individual photographs of either of us, so the likeness will need to be built entirely from your artistic interpretation after I describe our features, build, clothing, and the feeling I want the scene to convey.

Preferred print size: either A4 or A3. Because I plan to keep this piece for life, I’d appreciate your advice on the most durable medium—oil on canvas, archival-quality watercolours, light-fast coloured pencils, or a digital painting prepared for giclée printing. Please outline the pros and cons of each so I can choose before we begin.

• Final, high-resolution artwork ready for professional printing at both A4 and A3
• Care and preservation instructions specific to the medium we agree on
