Island Tourist Map Creation

I need a fresh, illustrated map that helps visitors orient themselves quickly when they arrive on our island. The focus is on clarity rather than exhaustive detail: key tourist attractions, the most popular restaurants and cafes, plus the main accommodation options should all stand out at a glance.

Style & Tone
• Digital illustration and simple design highlighting the island main road and key points of interest, so long as the end result feels lively and welcoming.
• Colour coding or subtle iconography to distinguish sights, dining spots, and lodging will work best.

Scope of Detail
I’m aiming for moderate detail—roughly 67 points of interest total, prioritizing locations that first-time visitors ask about most often. Smaller side streets or very minor venues do not need to appear, only the main road and road to two sponsors.

Deliverables
1. Print-ready PDF suitable for an 11 1/8 x 17 1/8 inch tear-off map pad.
2. Web-optimised PNG or SVG for the tourism website and social channels.
3. A layered source file (AI, PSD, or Procreate) so we can tweak individual points later if anything changes.

Acceptance Criteria
• Landmass outline and main roads are accurate to scale.
• Attractions, restaurants / cafes, and accommodations are clearly differentiated by colour or icon.
• Legend, compass rose, and simple distance scale included.
• All text is easy to read at both A3 print size and typical mobile zoom level.
