Illustrations of Qigong Postures for Instructional Use
Budget: €30 – €50 EUR
Project Description:
I’m looking for a skilled illustrator to create a series of high-quality, minimalist drawings of Qigong postures for use in publications and teaching materials.
This is the first of several illustrations I’ll need. If the collaboration goes well, this could become a longer-term engagement.
The First Drawing
Depict the following posture in three perspectives:
• Posture: Zhan Zhuang (Standing Like a Tree), holding an (invisible) “balloon” in front of the chest
• Figure: Male, approx. 50 years old
• Details:
• Hands at heart level, about 1,5 hand-width apart from each other
• Elbows lower than hands
• Palms facing inward, backs of the hands fully visible from the front
• Feet shoulder-width apart, knees slightly bent
• Upright, calm, and relaxed posture
• Dressed in traditional, loose-fitting Chinese martial arts clothing
• Refer to the attached image(s) for examples of Zhan Zhuang postures
⸻
Required Views:
• Front view
• Diagonal side view
• 90° side view
⸻
Style & Requirements:
• Minimalist, clean style (e.g., line drawing or chalk-style)
• Accurate proportions and authentic posture (not cartoonish)
• Clear enough for instructional use in print and digital formats
⸻
Scope & Opportunity:
If this first set is successful, I plan to commission drawings of at least 6 additional postures, with potential for more. I’m also open to discussing a revenue-sharing agreement for published materials using the illustrations.

⸻
How to Apply:
Please submit the following with your proposal:
• A rough draft of the front view as described
• Portfolio samples with similar work (body postures, instructional art, etc.)
• Estimated turnaround time
• Your price per drawing or package offer
Note: Please only apply if you are willing to provide a rough draft of the first drawing.
⸻
Timeline
Please submit your proposal by end of July.
I will review suitable proposals beginning of August and plan to award the project by mid-August.
