Illustration for a Children's Two-Book Series
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I have a 2 book back that I just finished writing that is ready for illustration. The book sits in between a younger audience of 6-12 and a 10-16 age range as well as strong family appeal. The books are 30 pages long each. I had them as one but decided a 2 book release would be a good gift pack and make it a little easier on the reader.
Where I need your expertise is in creating the covers front-back of both books I;m thinking 60% of the book would be Words without graphics (illustration) and 40% illustrations with words. As we all know pictures are worth a 1,000 words so I need the illustrator to understand the story line and insert illustrations that help the story line or define a moment in the book, this is my first venture in to book writing i need someone with experience in doing this to help me along. The pictures I want are of Pixar 3d style. Only apply if you have done this before and can show me samples of your work.
I will ask you to sign a ND and that we share mutual control of all the artwork. I'm looking for the project to be done in a week to 10 days.
The book is about a dog and her owner (for lack of a better description) and the bond they share as they go through some incredible transformation together as the dog starts to gain superpowers not flying around super. More when we talk.
Full transparency I have already hired one freelancer and I want to hire another to compare the two different bodies of work then decide which one goes to print but both people will get paid.
