Gothic Crow-Style Couple Comic

I’ve written a full, panel-by-panel, 20-plus-page script for a new Crow story starring my fiancée and me, and I’m now ready for an artist who can channel James O’Barr’s stark blacks, whites, and greys with the same raw, gritty energy. The brief:

• Style: as close to an exact O’Barr replica as legally possible—heavy inks, jagged line work, moody greys.
• Backgrounds: atmospheric yet not overpowering; moderately detailed alleys, rain-slick rooftops, candle-lit interiors.
• Content: unapologetically graphic, gothic, and tragic, true to The Crow’s tone.
• Lettering: speech bubbles and text laid in digitally for crisp placement that never smothers the art.

Deliverables
1. Twenty finished sequential pages in black, white, and grey, following my script.
2. High-resolution (300 dpi) TIFF or layered PSD for each page, plus a flattened PDF of the whole book.
3. Transparent-background PNG set of balloons/lettering.
4. One wraparound cover in the same style.

Workflow: thumbnails → pencils → inks/tones → final digital lettering. I’ll provide feedback at each phase and supply reference photos of us both.

If you breathe gothic noir and can mirror O’Barr’s look, show me two or three samples that prove it along with a realistic timeline. Let’s resurrect this love-lorn revenant tale together.
