Fantasy Wargame Play Mat
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I’m assembling a 6×4-foot battlefield for a fantasy miniatures game and need a custom play mat design delivered as a high-resolution, printable PDF. The file should arrive truly “print-ready” (300 dpi CMYK at full size with a 3 mm bleed) so I can forward it straight to my local print shop or an online neoprene service without further tweaks.
Theme & look
• Epic fantasy setting – think weathered stone ruins, patches of mossy grass, hints of arcane symbols or faint lava cracks; nothing sci-fi or historical.
• Colour palette must keep miniatures and terrain readable; subtle mid-tones with no eye-straining neon.
• No deployment or objective markings baked in; I prefer a clean canvas.
Scale & detail
Units are 28 mm heroic scale, so texture elements should feel proportionate—flagstones roughly 1–1.5 inches wide, grass tufts the size of a thumbprint, etc.
Hand-drawn, photo-bash, or fully digital painting are all fine as long as the end result stays crisp when blown up to 6×4 ft. Please avoid visible tiling or repeated texture seams.
Deliverables
• 1 layered or flattened PDF (preferred) at 72 × 48 inches, 300 dpi, CMYK + bleed
• A downsized JPG preview for quick sharing
I’ll review a low-res watermarked proof first; once approved you hand over the full file and I release payment immediately. If you have portfolio samples of fantasy tabletop mats, send a link so I can gauge style compatibility. Looking forward to unleashing your creativity on my battlefield!
