Custom Crossover Playmat Illustration
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
The project is a custom, print-ready Magic: The Gathering playmat paired with a larger wall-art version of the same scene. The illustration must be rendered in a fully realistic style and stage an all-out battle that mashes together characters I love from both film and gaming universes.
Movie side: think Marvel heroes clashing with Star Wars icons, giants from Lord of the Rings, Jurassic Park creatures, Samurai Jack, DC legends, Godzilla, the TMNT crew, Hellboy, and anything else that fits the energy.
Game side: Doom Marines, Spartans from Halo, Warhammer 40K factions, Borderlands vault hunters, the Prototype shapeshifter, Aliens vs. Predator and other favourites can all have a moment. I’m open to additional cameos as long as everything feels cohesive and epic rather than crowded.
Scope
• Primary canvas: standard playmat size (approximately 24" × 14") at 300 dpi, CMYK, with safe zones and bleed.
• Secondary canvas: high-resolution poster/wall-art version suitable for A2 printing without quality loss.
• Composition: dynamic battlefield with clear focal points so the mat remains playable
• Style: photoreal/realistic, vivid lighting, cinematic atmosphere. No cartoon or abstract elements.
Deliverables
• Final flattened CMYK TIFF or PNG for print.
• A layered PSD (or Procreate/Clip Studio equivalent) so I can adjust placements if needed.
• Web-sized JPG for online sharing.
• One round of post-delivery tweaks for minor positioning or colour corrections.
Acceptance
Artwork will be approved once the listed characters are identifiable, the resolution checks out for both formats, and the overall scene balances readability with wow factor.
