US-Based Realistic Book Illustrations

I’m putting together a new book and I’d like 1–10 full-page illustrations rendered in a highly realistic style. Because the story combines visual subtlety with rich narrative detail, accuracy in anatomy, lighting, and texture will be crucial.

All artwork must be entirely original, delivered in high-resolution (minimum 300 dpi) suitable for both print and e-book layouts. I work in Adobe InDesign, so layered PSD or TIFF files—plus flattened CMYK finals—will fit seamlessly into my production flow. If you prefer Procreate or traditional media, that’s fine as long as the final scans meet the same quality specifications.

A U.S.-based illustrator is essential for easy scheduling of feedback calls and potential shipping of any physical artwork. Turnaround on each piece will be discussed, but I aim to keep momentum steady, reviewing drafts in batches before approving color and final polish.
