Position: OpenShift DevOps Engineer
Location: Remote
Experience: 4-8 years
Key Responsibilities
Setup and maintain OpenShift Container Platform.Manage deployments through UI-based, CLI/script-based, and image-based methods (manual and automated).Ensure provisioning and maintenance of environments, including database setup for internal and external requirements.Monitor, analyze, and report on environment/application issues with clarity and actionable insights.Collaborate with Development, Release Management, and Project teams to support deployment and maintenance.Develop and maintain a library of technical and process documentation for implementers and users.Work closely with Business Analysts, Solution Architects, and Technical Leads as needed.
Technical Skills and Competencies
Hands-on experience with the OpenShift Container Platform (setup and administration desirable).
Knowledge of Kubernetes would be good to haveFamiliarity with other cloud/container platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Docker) and database systems (SQL).
\Comfortable working in both Unix and Windows environments with proficiency in Unix and scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Perl, Python).
Experience with any source code management tools (e.g., Perforce, Bitbucket/Git/Gitlab/Azure DevOps).
Proficiency with any CI tools like Bamboo, Ant, and Maven is a plus.
Soft Skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication.
Self-motivated, organized, and flexible with a proactive approach to tasks.
Proven ability to work in client-facing roles.
Qualifications
Bachelor of Engineer or B.Tech
