Looking for SRE

Job ID: 40363384

Budget: $2 – $15 USD

SRE / DevOps Engineer

We’ve built a real-time marketplace.
Speed and reliability matter more than anything.

We’re live. Things move fast. We need someone who can take ownership of infrastructure and make it solid.

What I need you to do

- Take full ownership of infra and DevOps
- Stabilize the system under real usage
- Improve performance, uptime, and response times
- Set up proper monitoring, alerting, and logging
- Handle deployments cleanly with zero downtime
- Lock down security and access properly
- Identify weak points and fix them without being told

Current stack (you should be comfortable here)

- Backend: Node.js
- Frontend: React / mobile app
- Infra: AWS (EC2, S3, likely more coming)
- APIs: real-time interactions, latency matters
- Early-stage system, not perfectly structured

What I expect from you

- You don’t wait for instructions
- You see problems before they happen
- You fix root causes, not symptoms
- You keep things simple, not over-engineered
- You can explain decisions clearly

Must have experience

- AWS (EC2, S3, IAM, networking, scaling)
- CI/CD pipelines (build, test, deploy)
- Monitoring tools (Datadog, Prometheus, etc.)
- Logging systems (centralized logging)
- Performance tuning (API latency, load handling)
- Security best practices (keys, roles, access control)

Nice to have

- Experience with real-time systems
- Experience scaling early-stage products
- Docker / containerization
- Auto-scaling and load balancing
- Cost optimization

What success looks like

- App is stable under load
- Deployments are smooth and safe
- Issues are caught before users notice
- Infra is clean, documented, and scalable

How we’ll work

- You’ll work directly with me
- Fast feedback, fast iteration
- No unnecessary meetings
- Focus on execution

When you reach out, include

- What systems you’ve owned end-to-end
- Specific scaling or reliability problems you solved
- Your approach to stabilizing a messy early-stage system
- Tools and stack you prefer

If you’re the type who sees chaos and turns it into a clean, reliable system, this is for you.
