Laravel Application Deployment on VPS
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
We are looking for a skilled and experienced DevOps engineer or full-stack developer to deploy our Laravel-based application on a Hostinger VPS using Dokploy. The successful candidate will manage server setup, deployment, database configuration, and email SMTP integration. This is a crucial task for our project, and we need someone who can handle deployment, troubleshoot issues, and ensure everything runs smoothly on production.
Responsibilities:
Set up and configure Hostinger VPS to support the Laravel application (including all necessary software and services).
Deploy Laravel Application on the VPS using Dokploy for easy deployment and management.
Set up the database (MySQL or MariaDB) and configure it for use with the Laravel application.
Configure Email SMTP (using services like Gmail, SendGrid, or others) for handling transactional emails within the application.
Ensure the application is fully optimized for production (caching, queue workers, etc.).
Handle deployment automation using Dokploy, ensuring an easy rollback, versioning, and automatic build/redeploy for updates.
Configure Nginx or Apache web server, ensure SSL is correctly set up (via Let’s Encrypt), and ensure proper routing for Laravel’s public directory.
Ensure security best practices including firewall settings, server hardening, and user permissions.
Assist with troubleshooting deployment issues during the process.
Document the entire deployment process to ensure a smooth setup for future updates and changes.
Required Skills:
Strong experience with Laravel (specifically deployment and configuration).
Hands-on experience with Dokploy for deploying Laravel applications.
Proven ability to configure VPS (Hostinger, Ubuntu or Debian based) for web applications.
Experience setting up MySQL/MariaDB databases and handling migrations, including database backups and restores.
Knowledge of Nginx (preferred) or Apache web servers and configuring SSL certificates.
Experience with SMTP configuration (Gmail, SendGrid, Mailgun, etc.) for transactional emails.
Strong understanding of Linux server management (SSH, file permissions, firewall settings).
Familiarity with Composer, Node.js, and PHP (for running migrations, clearing cache, etc.).
Basic knowledge of Dokploy for handling the deployment pipeline and rollback.
Familiar with version control (Git) and can integrate deployment with GitHub/Bitbucket repositories.
Nice to Have:
Familiarity with Docker containers for development environments.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration and deployment.
Familiar with Dokku or other deployment solutions.
Understanding of Laravel Queues and background jobs.
