Drupal 10 Upgrade & MFA Integration
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
Project Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Drupal developer to perform a major upgrade of our Developer Portal from Drupal 8 to Drupal 10 and to enable Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) across the site. All changes will first be applied in our test environment; once validated, they must be replicated in staging and production.
Scope of Work:
Drupal Core Upgrade
Migrate codebase and database from Drupal 8 to Drupal 10
Update or replace incompatible modules and themes
Ensure custom functionality continues to work without regressions
Enable Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
Install and configure a recommended MFA module (e.g. TFA, Google Authenticator)
Enforce MFA for all user roles or specified administrator accounts
Provide clear documentation on MFA setup and recovery procedures
Environment Workflow
Implement and test all changes in the Test environment
Perform thorough QA: functional testing, performance checks, security scans
After approval, replicate the upgrade and MFA configuration in Staging, then in Production
Provide configuration steps or scripts to automate deployments between environments
Deliverables:
Upgraded Drupal 10 site in Test environment, fully functional
MFA enabled and documented
Upgrade and MFA configuration pushed to Staging and Production
A deployment checklist and rollback plan
Requirements:
Proven experience upgrading Drupal 8 to Drupal 10
Strong knowledge of Drupal security best practices and MFA modules
Familiarity with multi-environment DevOps workflows (Test → Staging → Production)
Excellent documentation and communication skills
There are some additional points I would like to clarify:
• We took a snapshot from the staging environment and moved it to a new server, but the copy didn’t work well. We need to run this version because we will treat it as a dev environment where we make changes.
• We will not be able to give you access to the servers or the dev portal because these are company systems. One of our team members will be with you to perform the required tasks as a shadow.
Please include in your proposal:
Brief summary of similar Drupal upgrades you’ve completed
Your preferred MFA solution and justification
Estimated hours and total cost
We look forward to your proposal!
