Dockerfile for an api to containerize a python application, a terraform module to release the manifest you wrote to kubernetes

I am looking to create a Dockerfile for an API to containerize my Python application, and develop a terraform module in order to release the manifest to Kubernetes. This project is for personal use rather than existing business, or establishing a new venture. Although I do possess basic programming language understanding, I need help in understanding the specifics of the Dockerfile and the best practices when assembling one. I require advice and guidance on the most reliable approach in order to build the Dockerfile confidently and efficiently.
