Junior Developer/DevOps for Automation & Tech Support (Long-term)
Budget: $2 – $8 USD
Job Overview: I am looking for a Junior Developer with a "can-do" attitude for ongoing technical support. I will provide the project architecture and strategy; you will handle the execution and implementation.
Responsibilities:
• VPS Management: Setup, configure, and maintain Cloud VPS environments.
• Install/configure WordPress and troubleshoot performance/plugins.
• Tooling: Install and configure open-source tools (Mautic, N8N, Analytics stacks).
• Development: Support with Python scripts, SQL queries, and HTML/CSS/JS tweaks.
• Integrations: Connect tools using APIs and Webhooks (e.g., connecting CRMs like HubSpot/Zoho to N8N).
• Implement and debug Google Tag Manager / Google Analytics setups.
• Document work and provide short activity reports.
Tech Stack Requirements:
• Experience with Linux/VPS management.
• Familiarity with WordPress, Mautic, and N8N.
• Basic knowledge of Python, SQL, and Web Development (HTML/JS).
• Understanding of APIs, Webhooks, Google Analytics, and GTM.
• Good communication in Portuguese or English; weekly syncs.
Nice to have
• Mautic experience (installation + integrations).
• Experience with HubSpot, Pipedrive, or Zoho APIs.
• Basic Docker/CI knowledge; familiarity with Contabo/DigitalOcean/Hetzner/AWS Lightsail.
Who is this for? This is perfect for a Junior professional looking to grow. You don't need to be an expert architect, but you must be a strong executor capable of following technical instructions and troubleshooting.
Format/Apply
• Type: Ongoing freelance (retainer/on-demand).
• Availability: 8–20 hrs/week.
• CV + GitHub/portfolio + hourly rate + answers to the 3 screening questions below.
Screening questions (ask for them in the form)
1. Describe a project where you configured a VPS (e.g., Contabo, AWS, DigitalOcean or Hetzner). Please include the operating system you used, a step-by-step overview of the process, and any challenges you faced.
2. Have you integrated Mautic (or another marketing automation tool) with WordPress or a CRM via webhook or API? If so, please briefly describe the workflow.
3. What are your weekly hours of availability and your desired hourly and monthly rates?
