DevOps Engineer Needed to Audit and Rebuild DigitalOcean Infrastructure for Production & Development Environments (Location - India Only)

Project Description:
We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to audit our existing DigitalOcean setup and then plan and implement a new, clean infrastructure to support both production and development environments for our web platform.
This role requires evaluating the current setup for issues, misconfigurations, or inefficiencies, and then creating a reliable, secure, and scalable environment from scratch.

Tech Stack:
● Frontend: Tailwind CSS, Pure JavaScript (ES6+, AJAX)
● Backend: Django (Python)
● Database: SQLite
- Migrate SQLite to PostgreSQL
● Hosting: DigitalOcean (Droplets)
● Version Control: GitHub (private repository)

Responsibilities:
● Audit the existing DigitalOcean infrastructure
● Identify any misconfigurations, inefficiencies, or security risks
● Assess current deployment process and server setup
● Provision a new infrastructure setup:
● Configure separate production and development environments using DigitalOcean Droplets
● Install and configure required components:
● Python, Django, Gunicorn
● PostgreSQL
● Node.js for frontend build
● Nginx or other web server
● Clone and deploy from GitHub repository
● Set up the frontend build (Tailwind CSS + ES6, AJAX JavaScript)
● Configure process managers (e.g., PM2, Supervisor, or systemd)
● Secure the environment with:
● SSH key authentication
● UFW firewall
● SSL
● Optional: Set up a basic CI/CD pipeline workflow (GitHub Actions or similar)

Deliverables:
● Audit report on current infrastructure
● New DigitalOcean setup:
● Two Droplets (production & development)
● Working deployment pipeline (manual or automated)
● HTTPS-secured environments
● Documentation:
● Setup steps with step by step procedures
● Deployment instructions
● Access and rollback procedures
● Overall Runbook

Ideal Candidate:
● Extensive experience with DigitalOcean (Droplets, networking, backups, etc.)
● Strong background in Linux server administration (Ubuntu preferred)
● Experience deploying Django framework with Python
● Experience on migrating SQLite to PostgreSQL database
● Familiar with frontend build tools (npm, Tailwind CSS, static site serving)
● Comfortable setting up CI/CD workflows (optional but a plus)
● Excellent troubleshooting and documentation skills
