DevOps Engineer -- 2

Job description: Responsibilities
This position is responsible for technical product support
Operate, support and improve our tools for continuous integration, continuous deployment, automated testing and release management
Manage incidents and outages within the application and handle production support in general
Responsible for building update and upgrade packages and installation of the packages for hosted clients and delivering the packages to the licensed clients
Installation of most recent released Shaw product versions
Support and maintenance of all daily builds and internal sites
Support of all product servers to ensure acceptable tech stacks and resources are in place
Work closely with our Architects, Engineers, Product Owners and Application Leads to engineer and build automated solutions
Work with the development team to deploy and manage tools that support SDLC automation, configuration management and release management
Requirements
7+ years of experience in a DevOps or related role
Experience troubleshooting software upgrades and installs
Experience supporting Windows environments
Understanding of software systems from the user’s and technical perspectives
Must work well under pressure to meet ongoing and overlapping deadlines within short time constraints
After hours support and additional peak time support may be necessary
Strong analytical, interpersonal, communication, problem solving and research skills
Excellent written and oral communications skills
Preferred Experience
Experience deploying and administering Continuous Integration tools such as Jenkins, Maven, Teraform, Artifactory, Ansible, jMeter, SonarQube, Spring, jUnit, Cucumber, Selenium, Docker, Kubenetes, Grafana
Experience with Bitbucket source code management tools
Experience in cross-platform scripting languages (Terraform, Ansible, Maven, etc.)
Experience with one or more of the following programming languages:, JAVA, Gradle, and Python
Understanding of Azure cloud-based operations is required
Understanding of Microsoft SQL server
Linux/Unix experience a plus
Experience with JBoss and/or Tomcat a plus
Prior experience with Structured Query Language (SQL) and relational database
Education/Certifications
Bachelor’s degree required; 7-10 years of related work experience may substitute for bachelor’s degree
Supervisory Responsibility
This position will be responsible for acting as a team lead for a team of up to 3 direct reports. Responsibilities include mentorship, quarterly review of performance and assisting the manager is conducting annual evaluations.
Timings- 2-3 hours/weekdays
