Python Desktop Coding Bot Development
Budget: £20 – £250 GBP
I’m looking for someone to build a personalised desktop bot, written entirely in Python, whose main job is to take over some repetitive coding tasks for me. Think of it as a small local assistant that can generate or refactor code snippets, spin up ready-made file templates, run quick test compilations and save the results straight to my chosen folders—all from a simple desktop interface rather than a web browser.
Here’s the core of what I need:
• The bot must be a desktop application; CLI or a lightweight GUI (Tkinter, PyQt, or similar) is fine as long as it’s friction-free to use.
• Python is the only accepted language for the build, and I’d like the source to be clean, well-commented and easy to extend.
• The workflow logic (exact prompts, languages covered, folder structure, etc.) will be shared once we start, but all functionality centres on coding tasks—no scraping, customer support, or social media automation.
• Everything needs to run locally without cloud calls; offline operation is essential.
Deliverables
• Fully documented Python source code
• Packaged desktop executable or one-command installer
• Read-me covering setup, dependencies and a quick usage guide
Acceptance criteria
• All requested coding actions execute reliably on my machine
• No unresolved external dependencies beyond the standard Python runtime and declared libraries
• Code quality high enough to pass common linters (e.g., Pylint score ≥ 8)
If you’re comfortable crafting desktop tools in Python and can think like a developer who wants everyday coding chores handled automatically, I’d love to work with you.
