Desktop Finance Manager for SMBs

I’m building a cross-platform finance manager that runs natively on Windows and macOS and is tailored to the day-to-day bookkeeping needs of small businesses. The core workflow is simple: let the user enter income and expenses, categorise them, and immediately see how cash is moving through clear dashboards, budgets, and concise reports such as profit-and-loss and cash-flow summaries. Everything is stored locally so the app works even when the connection drops, and accuracy has to be rock-solid because owners will rely on these numbers when it’s time to file taxes or meet with a banker.
The interface should feel modern and lightweight—think drag-and-drop category assignment, quick-search, keyboard shortcuts, and a dashboard that opens straight to the owner’s key metrics. Under the hood I’m flexible on stack: Electron, Qt, .NET MAUI, Swift/SwiftUI + C# backend—whatever you’re most experienced with as long as we end up with signed installers for both Windows and macOS and a codebase that can be maintained without exotic toolchains.
Deliverables I need to see:
• Source code in a Git repo with clear build instructions
• Signed installers (.exe and .dmg) ready for distribution
• A short user guide that covers first-time setup, transaction entry, budgeting, and report export
• Brief hand-over session or video walkthrough explaining architecture and data model
