Project Description

I need a CIBSE TM59 overheating assessment to demonstrate compliance with Approved Document O for Building Control sign-off.

Scope of Work:

Carry out dynamic thermal modelling of a new residential development ([insert number of dwellings/units here]) at [insert site location/postcode].

Use approved software: IESVE, DesignBuilder (EnergyPlus), or TAS.

Use correct CIBSE Design Summer Year (DSY) weather file for the site location.

Apply CIBSE TM59 criteria:

Criterion A: occupied hours (no more than 3% above Tmax+1 K, May–Sept).

Criterion B: bedrooms, night hours (no more than 1% above 26°C).

Provide mitigation advice if criteria are not met (e.g. shading, g-values, purge/free area).

Deliverables:

Executive summary with pass/fail outcomes.

Assumptions (fabric, glazing, ventilation, occupancy, gains).

Ability to provide previous sample reports (with sensitive data redacted).
