Concrete U-Ditch Drainage Design
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I need a complete structural design package for a simple cast-in-place concrete U-shaped ditch whose sole purpose is site drainage. I already have the overall length, width, depth, and side-slope requirements worked out; I will forward these exact dimensions, sketches, and site photos as soon as we open the workspace.
Your job is to turn those numbers into a build-ready solution that safely resists the expected hydraulic load and the surcharge from occasional light-vehicle traffic above the cover. Please base all calculations on the in-situ soil report I will provide and verify that the ditch thickness and reinforcement satisfy both load-bearing capacity and soil stability criteria. If local code references are required, cite them directly in the calc sheet. There are also three types of RC Manholes to be included in the package.
Deliverables
• Structural calculation report in PDF (hand or software-generated—STAAD, SAP2000, or similar)
• Reinforcement detailing and bar schedule in CAD (DWG) and PDF
• Plan, cross-sections, and typical construction notes ready for the contractor
• Brief design summary explaining assumptions, safety factors, and any optional optimisations
I am happy to answer follow-up questions during the process and will review intermediate files so we can lock the design quickly and accurately.
