DFM Expert for Metal Product

I’m taking a metal consumer product from pilot runs into full production and need a seasoned pair of eyes on the Design-for-Manufacturing details. The basic form, function, and aesthetics are locked, but I want to be absolutely certain we are squeezing out unnecessary cost, streamlining assembly, and removing any hidden risks before the next tooling cycle.
Here is where I’m at and what I need from you:
• Examine the current CAD and drawing package, flag dimensions or features that will be hard‐to‐hold or expensive to machine, stamp, or cast.
• Recommend cost-neutral geometry tweaks or alternate processes that keep the product’s look and feel intact while reducing cycle times and scrap.
• Confirm draft angles, wall thicknesses, bend radii, and tolerance stack-ups suit high-volume production in metal.
• Deliver a concise DFM report (PDF + mark-ups) that my supplier can act on immediately, including any critical quality checkpoints for in-process inspection.
I’m happy to walk you through the current build, share native files (SolidWorks & STEP), and answer any questions about target volumes or finishing requirements. Turnaround within one week would be ideal so we can lock the design before placing orders for hardened tooling.
